Email twerking and a bit of Winston.

Just a quick blog to let everyone know what we have been working on; we have primarily been focused on topping and tailing the functions that we have and rounding CADO off with basic functions that will make it more useful.  Here’s a teaser;

CADO Email

Pretty cool? Needless to say we have been emailing drawings created on CADO!

There are loads of other features tha have either been tweaked, improved or rounded off to give the app the polished complete feel we demand from it. We will keep you posted either through this blog, or on our Facebook page. Interesting debate going on is whether email or online file sharing like Dropbox is more useful in this context, and if the latter, which platform do you use? Get in touch and let us know.

Aside from pure development, the last week there has been a slightly pensive mood in the OJS camp, not for any good reason mind. With the OJS team flung all across the country and indeed the continent, Skype has been our principle form of communication. I wonder how long Skype keeps a backup of the conversation? Ours has been going on for more than 2 years now and would make for one hell of a read when CADO is released.

So why are we in a pensive mood? Not really sure to be honest – perhaps its because we are so close to a release that its only natural for people to become reflective when at a major juncture of a very long and all consuming journey. I used juncture deliberately, it is definitely not the end, in fact it is the beginning. Makes me think of a famous quote by Winston Churchill;

“Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.”

Anyway, until the book deal is confirmed, we will be cracking on with the task at hand, CADO! Don’t forget, get in touch through our website or email, we love hearing from fans or critics – its all useful stuff and trust us, we do listen!

    I’m always disappointed when applications force me to email the document to get it out. Many times I either need to tweak it in another program or am not anywhere near a wifi hotspot, so I’m just stuck. While I’m not against having that capability to use either email or Dropbox I would like to see an “open-in” capability also. This way I can either transfer it to another application for tweaking or to an app that allows me to transfer it to my phone via bluetooth so I can use my phone to email it out.

    Just my 2cents,
    MCP

    Just to cheer you up.
    When I retired from running my own IT business, I spent more time on one of my hobbies – woodwork. I sold a piece of furniture for £800. I then reflected on the number of hours I had spent making it. 50p per hour is not a living wage, but I enjoyed every minute of it and still get great satisfaction.
    Let’s hope your return is better than that. Keep going, I am sure you will be successful.

    Best regards
